IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PARADISE JAM FANS | 11/08/2024

Our fan packages are completely sold out this year—thanks to an incredible response! 🎉 The Westin, our partner hotel, is fully booked, but don’t worry! There are fantastic nearby options, like The Cove and Buoy Haus, both within walking distance of the Westin. You can still be right in the heart of the action! If you’re excited to join us and want to make getting to the games a breeze, grab a bus pass! It’s the perfect way to get between the Westin and the UVI gym with ease.

Good news—tournament passes and tickets are still available, and we’ve got plenty ready for purchase! While our pre-sale has ended, you can still grab your tickets right on the island. If you're looking for a tournament pass, swing by the UVI Gym ticket booth on the first day of either the men’s or women’s tournament. We don’t offer individual game tickets, but we do have day passes! Just visit the same ticket booth on the day you’d like to attend, and you’re all set to get a single-day game pass.

Travel Essentials

  • English is the official language, but you may notice colorful dialects and expressions that might take some time to get accustomed to.

  • Greetings: Use "good morning," "good afternoon," or "good night" when greeting locals. "Good night" is used as a greeting, not a farewell.

Conversations: Ease into conversations with small talk.

Driving: Drive on the left and honk to thank drivers. Look right when crossing the street.

Tipping: Follow U.S. tipping customs, around 20-25%.

Dress Code: Casual but appropriate. Swimsuits are for the beach only. The arena may be chilly, so pack accordingly.

Local Customs and Etiquette

  • U.S. Citizens do NOT need a passport to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands. You can clear U.S. Customs in St. Thomas with a government-issued photo ID, such as a Driver’s License. However, having a passport can help expedite the customs process.

  • Clearing customs and security in St. Thomas involves multiple steps, so it’s recommended that you arrive at the airport at least three hours before your flight departure time.

  • The local currency is the U.S. Dollar (USD). Credit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and shops, but cash is still king in St. Thomas, so it’s advisable to carry cash.

    • Reef Safe Sunscreen:  Reef-safe sunscreen is specially formulated to protect your skin while minimizing harm to coral reefs and marine life. When visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands, it's important to use reef-safe sunscreen, as traditional sunscreens can contain chemicals that contribute to coral bleaching and damage underwater ecosystems.   Some popular options include Badger, All Good, Blue Lizard, ThinkSport, and Raw Elements.

      • Insect Repellant:  Insect repellent is essential when visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands, as it helps protect against mosquito bites and other insects. Applying repellent regularly ensures you can enjoy the outdoors without the discomfort of bites. Effective repellents include OFF! Deep Woods, Repel Lemon Eucalyptus, Sawyer Picaridin, and Cutter Advanced, which provide long-lasting protection.

      • Brand Named or Very Specific Items:  When visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands, it's important to bring essential items, as the laid-back island lifestyle means specific products may not always be readily available. This includes brand-name over-the-counter medications, a particular type of baby formula, or any other personal necessities that you rely on regularly.
