DIVISION II COLLEGE HOOP CLASSIC,
DECEMBER 27-31!
The tournament fills fast , so book early for 2008 and beyond!
 Beginning
in 2006, the San Diego Surf 'N Slam expanded to include a women's collegiate
version for NCAA Division II teams.
This 4-team, 2-game tournament will be held every
year from Dec. 27-31. The Surf 'N Slam has been open to high school teams
since 1991, women's NCAA
Div. I teams since 2001, and women's NCAA Div. III/small college teams
since 2002.
 The
fabulous Westin Gaslamp Quarter is the official tournament hotel, right in
the heart of the famous San Diego GasLamp District.
A visit to the San
Diego Zoo, a ride on the famous San Diego Trolley, and the great shopping
and restaurants of the adjacent Horton Plaza Mall round out a perfect tournament
experience.

Tournament Format
Guaranteed 2 games (all NCAA Division II teams).
Booking Procedures
All tournaments are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you have
called us and indicated your interest in participating, Basketball Travelers,
Inc. will send you a contract to be returned within three weeks of receipt.
 Accommodations
In San Diego you will stay 3-4 nights at the luxurious Westin Gaslamp Quarter.
It features 450 spacious guest rooms, heated outdoor pool with Jacuzzi and
sundeck, a 3,000 square foot health club. Best of all, it is located in the
Horton Plaza Mall, which includes 14 theatres, numerous restaurants, and over
140 shops. Horton Plaza is also in the heart of the historic Gas-lamp Quarter,
in the center of San Diego’s Downtown, just minutes from Seaport Village
and the Coronado Ferry.
Tentative Tournament Itinerary:
Day #1: Arrive in San Diego; practice
Day #2: Tournament Game #1
Day #3: Tournament Game #2
Day #4: Continental breakfast; Visit San Diego Zoo
Day #5: Depart for home
Your Tournament Package
Includes
The per person price includes 3-4 nights at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter, all ground
transportation needs (to/from San Diego Airport, Games and the San Diego Zoo),
trolley pass (used to go to Tijuana), tournament continental breakfast, tournament
gift, and a ticket to the San Diego Zoo (including the narrated bus tour and
sky ride).
Price Does Not Include
Round-trip air tickets to San Diego, meals, travel insurance & incidentals.
Basketball Travelers, Inc, will do your air ticketing and let you know the price.
How Much Does It Cost?
The tournament package price per person is based on many things specific to
your team's needs and wishes. These include how many nights you plan on staying,
and how many persons you will have in each room. Call our office to discuss
these details and we will be happy to supply you with a price and contract.
